Music Library Intern
<p>Job DetailsJob Location: NASHVILLE, TN 37201Position Type: InternshipMusic Library Internship - Summer 2026 Job Description The Library Intern will support the day-to-day activities of the Nashville Symphony’s music library. The music library plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in preparing, organizing, and maintaining the music used for Nashville Symphony performances. This internship is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented student with a strong interest in classical music, music libraries, or orchestra operations to gain hands-on experience in a professional performing arts environment. The intern will assist Symphony librarians with a variety of music preparation and cataloging tasks, including transferring bow markings into string parts, photocopying scores and parts, cataloging music, compiling and breaking down orchestral folders, making repairs to music, and other duties as directed by the Nashville Symphony librarians. Start and end dates of the internship can vary based on the intern’s academic schedule but will tentatively begin in May or early June and conclude by July 31. This internship is estimated at 120 total hours, or 10–15 hours per week. Required hours may be adjusted if necessary for academic credit. Internship compensation is $10/hour. QualificationsQualifications Library Intern Requirements: Interns must be pursuing a degree in music or a related field or have an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. Interns should have an interest in or experience with a music library. Interns must have a strong knowledge of classical music. Interns must be able to read orchestral music. Interns preferably have basic knowledge of music theory, music history, and foreign musical terms. Interns must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Interns must be able to work independently. Interns must have strong communication skills and foster an environment of hospitality. General Internship Requirements: All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities. Candidates must be within commutable distance to the Nashville Symphony Orchestra at the time of the internship. Interns must be available to work some evenings and select weekends. Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented team players. Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Nashville Symphony upon completion.</p>

Music Production Assistant
<p>We are seeking a highly organized individual to join our team as a part-time music production assistant to a touring DJ. This position combines logistical coordination with hands-on technical expertise to ensure the seamless execution of team initiatives, including content campaigns, song releases, and live performances. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, managing music downloads and edits, while also supporting technically at a familiar level with DJ decks. This role requires a flexible schedule, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the music industry. There will be plenty of opportunities in this role to advance within the team and support the growth of an artist at a very hands-on level.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul><li>Assist DJ with finding music, downloading to crates and USBs</li><li>Help with making song edits for live performances or content campaigns</li><li>Aid in prepping songs and USB for live performances or content campaigns</li><li>Work closely with the videographer, DJ, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and support.</li><li>Provide assistance with talent management, including scheduling and personal needs during tours.</li><li>Provide technical support during performances or shoots, including troubleshooting audio issues with DJ boards.</li><li>Handle microphones, cables, and other audio equipment throughout the shoot or event.</li></ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>Based in Los Angeles, CA, with flexible mid-week schedule and the ability to travel Thursdays through Sundays if needed.</li><li>Experience with DJ equipment (decks, cables, mics, USBs, etc) and technical knowledge of standard equipment set up and functionality.</li><li>Strong experience with music production and tools</li><li>Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Comfortable working in moderate to loud noise levels and late-night environments.</li><li>Superior interpersonal, communication, and discretion skills.</li><li>Familiarity with DJ culture and the music industry</li></ul>
Stage Lighting Engineer
<ul><li>Lighting Engineer - Uptown Theater (Minneapolis) Part-time</li></ul> <h3>The Role</h3> <ul><li>Responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by performing the technical aspects related to the show(s) production.
